​In office hearing screening by physicians and allied health care professionals is an important part of
an essential prevention program. The majority of Canadians with measured hearing loss are unaware they have a hearing problem (https://www.statcan.gc.ca/pub/82-625-x/2016001/article/14658-eng.htm).

Hearing loss is the second leading cause of years living with disability (YLD), second only to depression.
